ABA Centers of New Jersey Unveils Two New Autism Care Centers in One Day

Today, ABA Centers of New Jersey hosted a double header of ribbon-cutting ceremonies as it celebrated the opening of two new autism care centers in Edison and Hoboken on the same day. These centers will provide diagnostic and autism care services in the Central and North regions of New Jersey, respectively.

ABA Centers of New Jersey provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services to children with autism through a play-based approach rooted in positive reinforcement. The organization was founded to disrupt the autism care industry by demolishing wait times traditionally experienced by those in search of a diagnosis or treatment. It’s common for families to be waitlisted from many months to several years to receive these services for their children, but ABA Centers of New Jersey typically has a child in therapy within 47 days from the time initial contact is made with the organization.

The Hoboken center boasts nearly 7,000 square feet space, while the Edison center is an expansive 14,000 square feet, for individualized autism therapy services to take place. The strategically designed centers provide children with vibrant, immersive, and engaging environments to receive the therapy lessons that will help them navigate life on the spectrum and teach them the tools to achieve a robust and fulfilling future.

“I am not only the Executive Director here, but I am also the mother of a 14-year-old son with autism and 10 years ago, ABA therapy was not as accessible as it is today,” remarked Sarahann Martin, Executive Director of ABA Centers of New Jersey’s Edison center. “I’m proud to work at an organization that strives to eliminate the obstacles that my own son faced in getting care.”

“These centers are going to be a beacon of treatment for these individuals,” said Margot Harris, Council Vice President for the Township of Edison and a licensed clinical social worker, after reading excerpts from one of her old college essays, noting how the messaging surrounding behavioral health has shifted to be more compassionate and inclusive in the past 50 years since she wrote the paper.

At the Hoboken ceremony, State Senator Raj Mukherji presented the center with a certificate of recognition and remarked, “ABA Centers of New Jersey has significantly improved the quality of life for families throughout this state.”

ABA Centers of New Jersey opened its very first center in Mount Laurel earlier this fall. The new locations of ABA Centers of New Jersey can be found at 2163 Oak Tree Road, Edison, NJ, and at 50 Harrison Street, Hoboken, NJ. The company plans to open five more clinics in the state throughout 2025. More information about the organization and the autism care services it offers can be found at www.abacentersnj.com
